Trinity

First off, I am a believer in God. This shot is an examination of one thing that links these two groups, the Bible. The Bible has been used and abused for years and years buy different religious groups in order to justify there own prejudice. The KKK used it and preached from in order to support their hatred of African Americans. Many groups have used it to keep women in there place and not allowed them to have a voice. They site such verses as 1 Corinthians 11:1-16 where it talks about women having to keep their hair long as to hide there face because they come from man and only man should show his face because he comes from God. There are many places you can find verses to back up the oppression of women but there is only one verse in the whole Bible where there is a loose translation that talks about homosexuality being a sin. What people fail to see is that all these things are based on society not the Bible. Why don't American Christians oppress women anymore? Why do most American Christians think its ok to kill someone as long as the state does it? Why don't Christians sacrifice animals anymore? Because society has changed and is always changing. But if it makes them feel better let them pick and choose from the bible what they will and won't follow. I pick to follow Jesus’ example of love. His best friend was a horror. If he was alive today I believe he would be holding the hand of every gay many dying of AIDS in this world. I believe he would be on the front lines of that battle.
